Olivier Lafourcade

Olivier Lafourcade is Chairman of the Board of IPDEV (I&P Developpement), part of Investisseurs et Partenaires, a private equity company providing financing and support to SMEs in SubSaharan Africa.

He spent 30 years at the World Bank, in high level operational and managerial positions, including as Director for Africa and Latin America. Over the last 12 years as an independent consultant, Mr. Lafourcade has been involved in development matters in a variety of public and private institutions. He lectures in academic centers (e.g. Sciences Po Paris). He is a board member of several think-tanks (e.g. Expertise France in Paris, ANDE in Washington). He is Ingénieur Agronome and holds MSc and PhD degrees in Agricultural Economics from the University of Maryland (USA), and he is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program.
