Oryx Impact mobilises capital for investments in the African Continent, unlocking Africa's growth potential and promoting sustainable and resilient societies, with the aim of reducing forced migration and regional and global inequalities.
The Fund fosters the ecosystem of impact fund managers investing in Africa, with a substantial focus on women-led and emerging fund managers.
It will channel funding to enterprises that generate local and regional jobs and economic development, mitigate climate change and promote gender equality, while generating attractive financial returns.
To complement its strategy, Oryx Impact will provide a Technical Assistance (TA) facility which will contribute to building a stronger ecosystem of local impact fund managers in the African continent. Specifically, the TA facility will provide female and emerging fund managers (1st/2nd generation fund) with support to professionalise their Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) and Environment Social and Governance (ESG) practices, helping them achieve greater social impact, and making them more impactful and better governed fund managers that are more attractive to investors.
