The Landscape Resilience Fund (LRF) is an impact-driven, independent foundation that mobilises private and public climate finance for vulnerable smallholders and landscapes. The mission of the LRF is to enable the most vulnerable people in rural landscapes to effectively adapt to climate change.
To achieve this mission, the LRF links landscape-level development and conservation activities with finance and capacity-building for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Supported SMEs are innovative, adhere to strict sustainability criteria and champion climate-resilient and adaptive business practices that benefit local communities and foster nature-positive development. As a revolving fund, the LRF is self-sustaining and provides a critical climate finance solution to unlock commercial investment in SMEs at scale - holistically addressing inclusive development, biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation.
