The HEINEKEN Africa Foundation was set up in 2007 with the aim to support thriving communities in
the Sub Sahara African countries where HEINEKEN operates. Our renewed strategy aims to empower
smallholder communities to thrive and build climate resiliency through regenerative agriculture. To
achieve this we work closely with NGO’s, communities and the local HEINEKEN operations.
The HEINEKEN Africa Foundation is a registered non-profit organization and a separate legal entity
from the HEINEKEN Company. It is funded through an endowment fund from the HEINEKEN Company
and regular contributions. It is governed by the Board of Trustees that bases their decisions upon the
recommendation of the Advisory Board.
