BiD Capital Partners is a locally embedded, yet international, Impact Investment Advisory and Asset Management firm, with operations in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and the Netherlands. Our mission is to be a bold catalyst of sustainable economic growth by accelerating the Impact Capital Investment in Emerging Markets.
BiD CP was founded in 2006, to help impact driven entrepreneurs in emerging countries to access finance that they needed to grow and succeed. From Inception, BiD CP has facilitated investment capital that has aided +290 SMEs in emerging economies to scale their enterprises. The deals have varied from early-stage funding to multi-million-dollar scaleups, generating thousands of job opportunities, positively impacting wider communities, and contributing to the development of emerging economies.
Our expertise is in providing impact investment solutions; Investment Readiness and Deal Making services to emerging markets, growth-stage SMEs; incubation to impactful early-stage entrepreneurs, Impact Portfolio and Asset Management services for Institutional and Individual Investors and consortium partner offerings to Aid Agencies, Development Organizations and NGOs. While sector- agnostic, we primarily support SMEs with a demonstrable social Impact, within the Tech4Good, Agricultural Supply Chain, Health Care, Education, Renewable Energy, and Financial Inclusion.
In addition to our Technical Assistance services provided to USAID, EKN, FCDO and GIZ funded Activities in the East Africa, BiD Capital Partners manages two funds. The Rwanda Startup Fund of Rwanda Ministry of ICT and Innovation invests in early-stage ICT companies and SME Mezzanine Bridge Fund invests in women/youth/marginalized, and persons with disabilities (PWD) led Agri Enterprises in Uganda.
