EVPA Launches the Data Transparency Label 2021
This new label aims to recognise those who shared their data, thereby helping to strengthen the investing for impact movement
Why a Data Transparency Label?
For the first time in its history of data collection, EVPA has launched the Data Transparency Label 2021 to publicly recognise and award the respondents of the 2020 investing for impact survey. As the boundaries of impact investment are expanding and becoming blurry, sharing data is crucial, now more than ever, to showcase how investing for impact works in practice and position it within the broader impact ecosystem.
In line with principle 10 of the Charter of investors for Impact, the practitioners who, despite the pandemic, invested time to fill in the questionnaire, contributed to strengthening the investing for impact movement and preserving impact integrity.
How will this label strengthen the investing for impact movement?
The Data Transparency Label 2021 aims to show to the broader impact ecosystem which European practitioners shared data with EVPA and committed to strengthening the investing for impact movement. To maintain impact integrity, European investors for impact should join forces and strongly position themselves by collectively showcasing the elements of their impact strategies that make them unique and how they work in practice. EVPA wants to facilitate this process and the Data Transparency Label should trigger a virtuous circle that will increase data sharing and investing for impact recognition.
