The extra implications and considerations for investors for impact on dealing with defaulting investments.
In the current uncertain climate, investors for impact will be faced with a number of challenges as their borrowers and other investees find themselves struggling to meet payment and other obligations.
Alongside the contractual protections that all investors will look to call on, the investor for impact will be faced with further moral and ethical questions. Balancing the need to support and sustain the positive social and/or environmental impact created by investee organisations, with financial responsibility to internal and external stakeholders.
This virtual roundtable focusing on the UK environment starts the conversation for these funders - focusing primarily on debt impact investments - touching on the practical and legal (contractual rights, financial risks, impact management) and the ethical. Two practical case studies will be shared, to encourage meaningful peer-to-peer conversations.
A chance for all those currently active or interested in the UK market to take a moment to consider and discuss with peers how best they may - and already have - approached these types of situations.
